Mango's Classroom
3 years - 7 years

Mango’s classroom provides a place where children who are filled with adventure can enjoy a variety of activities, stretching their imaginations and stimulating their curiosities. Mango’s Place™ encourages a broad curriculum that is constantly evolving year after year, much of the time influenced by the exploration of the children in the center. Content includes STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), fine/gross motor, music and movement and art activities.

What We Learn

Cognitive Development

By age 3 the way children think, explore and figure things out has started to mature. Children at this age continue to advance their skills by observing their peers and interacting in various social environments. Mango’s Place strives to create a nourishing environment in which children can advance these skills uniquely through our Mango and Jungle classrooms. Our classrooms have meaningful play centers in which children can satisfy their curiosity and answer their “why?” and “how come?” questions with hands on experiences.

Meaningful Play Through Exploration

Each thoughtfully designed center is equipped with the necessary tools for children to explore. Having multiple centers allows children to engage in an experience based on their own interests. When a self-directed learner is engaged in meaningful play, they allow themselves the opportunity to develop skills as they make sense of the world around them. Mango’s Place indoor climbing jungle is a place for children to slide, climb and explore, all the while playing in our unique built in play centers.

Creative and Imaginative Play

Kids learn about the world through movement and play, open-ended toys and imaginative pretend play. Mango’s Place provides imaginative play environments set up all throughout the classroom that allow children to discover the world in their own way and time. Some of these environments include a play jungle, S.T.E.M house, play hut, transportation center, stage and sensory tables.

Socialization

From ages 3-7 children’s vocabularies are growing rapidly, children can use dramatic and creative play as a vehicle for social-emotional development. When a child pretends to be a mommy, a dentist, a teacher or a chef they can understand the world as they experience it. Playing with other children, allows children to learn and grow alongside their peers bringing their own individual real-world knowledge to their creative play. They will start to empathize with other feelings.
